Coyhaique, October 2025 (Patagonia press release) - The first edition of La Confluencia will be held in the Aysén region on November 7 and 8. Organized by Patagonia in collaboration with the local community, the event celebrates the start of the fly fishing season by bringing together three themes: sports, community, and activism.

The two-day program seeks to foster connections with rivers, ignite a passion for fly fishing, and strengthen the collective commitment to defending rivers, creating a movement that will carry on into the future.

"The call is to come enjoy this fly fishing experience! We will test new waders in the field, repair damaged waders for free, fix clothing of any brand, and welcome children and people of all levels. We also want to invite you and your family to celebrate the importance of the waters that sustain us," says Pascale Potin, creative and communications manager at Patagonia Chile.

To participate, you must register through La Confluencia – Patagonia Chile, and tickets are available for purchase through Welcu, ranging in price from $13,000 to $16,000 Chilean pesos. Companion tickets for family activities can also be purchased for $4,000 pesos.

There will be practical fly fishing workshops led by experts, wader and technical clothing repair stations, environmental discussions, and guided outings to local rivers and lakes in one of Patagonia's most iconic settings.

"La Confluencia is a place to meet, learn, celebrate, and ask ourselves what would become of our passion without free, healthy rivers. We want to sow the seeds of activism in the fly fishing community and demonstrate that safeguarding our waterways is integral to this culture," adds Potin.
