Dams on the Rio Santa Cruz, Patagonia

In Patagonia, Argentina, the Rio Santa Cruz flow east from the ice caps to the Atlantic ocean. It is the last large free flowing glacial river in the region, but now it is under threat as the Argentinian government press ahead with plan for two huge hydroelectric dams.
Leon McCarron and Tom Allen followed the river on horseback, investigating the dam sites and interviewing people who will be affected.
